Super mothers- Mother’s Day Special

Supermothers- Mother's Day Special “Mothers and their children are in a category all on their own. There’s no bond so strong in the entire world. No love so instantaneous and forgiving.”

―Gail Tsukiyama

Mother’s Day is one appointed day of the year to tell your mom how much you appreciate, adore and admire her. Being a mom is one of the toughest yet most rewarding jobs out there. Not a day goes by when we aren’t grateful to God for giving us the most beautiful gift in the form of mothers. They are the ones responsible for making us what we are today. They are an exceptional human being whose love for their children is unconditional.

Today, we shall focus on the supermothers, the mothers of specially abled children who despite of all odds have raised their children successfully and happily. Being a parent of a specially abled requires more mental than physical strength. These supermothers have had an experience nothing less than that of a roller coaster ride full of challenges, and have emerged as a winner every time.

Even though disability is something that our society struggles to accept, our supermothers work towards weaving an environment which is peaceful, healthy and absolutely normal in every way possible.

The complexities involved in raising a specially abled child is no piece of cake as it is difficult to figure in the initial stages as to what works best for the child and what are his or her likes and dislikes.

A mother goes through emotional stress, psychological concerns, physical, social and financial pressures in bringing up her children. But what matters most is that she does it all out of the sheer love that she bears for the child.

It is the active participation of mothers that leads to the empowerment and better cognitive development of their specially abled children. Her continuous efforts to understand her children and helping the other family members as well to understand her kid requires immense strength and all this, the supermothers do it confidently.

This Mother’s Day, we salute all the supermothers out there for being an inspiration to many of us and giving a new meaning to the lives of their specially abled children.
