Smart Jiyo – The Popular Event by Wave Group

Waves Group Smart JiyoSmart Jiyo is an initiative of The Wave Group that took place in Noida on 26th April 2015. It is a first of its kind outdoor and sports activity organized by The Wave Group.  More than 2000 residents of Noida, students of the Amity School and Global Genesis School participated in this grand event that focused on healthy living.   

The theme of Smart Jiyo was “Walk, Play, be Healthy”. According to the Executive Director of Marketing of Wave Infratech, this program had been conceptualized keeping in mind the diminishing world of outdoor games and greener lifestyle. The Wave Group through its participation in the DWR School Cup and Hero Hockey India League is greatly contributing to raise the awareness of the importance of outdoor activities.

The Sunday morning of 26th April saw the fitness enthusiasts actively participate in the outdoor games and activities that encompassed cycling, yoga class, zumba, aerobics, jogging and skating to name just a few. The sports fanatics took part in activities like Basketball, Volleyball, Archery, Badminton, Street Soccer, Cricket, etc.  The main objective of this event was to make people understand that sedentary lifestyle should be replaced with healthy living standards by interacting with nature.  

A part of Wave’s CSR initiative, Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan, partnered the event. Red FM and Hindustan Times were the media partners. Other reputed organizations that took part in the event were Reebok Cross Fit, Decathlon, Four Nine, Crystal Sign and Excelonz. With the remarkable success of this episode, the Wave Group has planned to come up with a series of such events in the near future.
