Health Camp in Village Gujjar Garhi
Date: – 24th February
Village Name: - Gujjar Garhi
The Ponty Chadha Foundation in collaboration with the Indo German Hospital organized a medical camp in the Village Gujjar Garhi. The village had approximately 25 households. This is the third time the health camp has been organized in this village. The medical camp started at 10 Am and continued till 1 pm.
The camp was held at the village Pradhan’s place. There was a lot of space available for patients in the complex where the seating arrangement was made to separately register and wait for their turn. First they were given a token number, then they would register with their name and age in the OPD card. Then they went to the doctor who were seated, once their turn came. After the check up they would collect the medicines from another counter.
Maximum number of people had come with problems pertaining to dental and gastroenteritis for which they were given medicines and also referred to the hospital where they could further do their check up.
A total of 134 patients attended the camp.
On interaction with some village people who were waiting for check ups it was found that the females in the village ignore problems related to gynae and urinary infections due to lack of knowledge and lack of understanding and support from families. Our free health camp had benefitted them as it to a large extent as they got medicines for regular problems for which they were never treated before.
