Heath Camp in Inayatpur Village
The Ponty Chadha Foundation held their weekly health camp in Inayatpur village on 2nd September’2015.
The camp was held at a Panchayat House constructed by Wave in the village. It had a huge hall with bathroom facility available.
Meena Kumari came with her daughter Kareena at the camp. Kareena was of a year old and was suffering from breathing problem at an early age. Meena Kumari’s husband worked in the city as a construction worker. Therefore she was the only care taker in the house. As she cannot leave her one year old child at house alone she stitched women’s clothes in the village to earn her living.
She had earlier visited the local clinic in the village and the doctor gave her few medicines, but the breathing problem persisted.
Our doctors did a check up and found that she had a chronic case of asthma. She has been asked to do few tests at Indo-German Hospital at subsidized rate and she would require a nebulizer for her treatment.
Some of the cost will be borne by Wave as the treatment might get expensive. She said that our camp at the doorstep has been really fruitful as people in the village tend to neglect health issues and thanked The Ponty Chadha Foundation for their initiative and help.
