Q. 1. Congratulations Sir, for this milestone. Tell me about the affiliation certificate your foundation has received from Security Sector Skill development council (SSSDC).

A.1 Considering the fact that our skills academy is not even a year old, this is a big achievement for Ponty Chadha Foundation as we could get the affiliation in a very short time. We had to go through a rigorous selection and approval process  to meet SSSDC  benchmarked compliance standards pertaining to  staff qualifications and engagement, equipment and training material, infrastructure of training academy, course curriculum, pedagogy and long term commitment vis a vis training.

Q. 2. Why is this affiliation significant for your organization?

A.2.  This affiliation is very important for Ponty Chadha Foundation as now our skill initiative is officially and legally recognized by National Skill Development Corporation, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. This affiliation makes the Foundation eligible to be considered for the Government of India’s flagship skilling programme Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and Skill India.

Q. 3. What are the benchmarks that helped your organization to get selected for this certificate?

A.3. Ponty Chadha Foundation complied with all requirements of SSSDC and our academy is probably among the best in terms of quality of training staff and the available training infrastructure.

Q. 4. Your foundation is also recognized by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). Tell me about that as well.

A.4. Being recognized by NSDC means that the Foundation is now a potential vocational training partner of the Government for unarmed security guard trade.

Q. 5. How will trainees get benefit from such affiliation and recognition?

A.5. The job prospects of trainees will be much better after they complete training in the academy.

Q. 6. Your organization is now a part of Indian Govt’s Skill India programme (PMKVY)? Now what benefits are you expecting from this?

A.6. As I mentioned earlier, Ponty Chadha Foundation will be now considered actively for the skilling initiative of the Government as our training academy meets the benchmarked standards set by the SSSDC.

Q. 7. How would you take it further? What is your organization’s future plan for the betterment the unprivileged rural youth?

A.7. Gradually Ponty Chadha Foundation will introduce skill training in more trades that are in sync with the real estate and construction sector. In the days to come we intent to mobilize rural underprivileged youth to be trained and employed as facility management /hospitality staff, plumbers, masons, electricians, horticulturists and basis scope even as smart device operators and heavy machine tool operators.
