Seeding Hopes of Good Health and Happiness in Rural India

Seeding Hopes of Good Health and Happiness in rural IndiaTo keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear. – Buddha

Do you ever feel good when you’re sick? Or feel like partying when you’re down with fever? Think about it. Without good health, you can never truly perform and succeed. Health is essentially the best wealth for everyone. And your happiness, to a large extent, is a reflection of your health. If you are fit and healthy, it shows, and you are automatically motivated to work better.

But what about those cases where health is subject to the access of effective medical care? For instance, such areas of the country where people still await better medical facilities. In the lack of proper healthcare, such sections get marginalised, and that eventually effects the overall health status of the country. Have you ever thought about such families that can’t even afford basic regular health check-ups? The looming concern today, is for these individuals and families, who form a significant bulk of our human resources, but are living miserably in the absence of good healthcare.

To combat the same, The Ponty Chadha Foundation (PCF), a corporate social responsibility initiative of the Wave Group, took an initiative of conducting regular health check-up camps to push ‘public health’ to the fore, and facilitate convenient medical assistance to those in need.

Need-Based Approach

Like every month, PCF has decided to go beyond the city borders to reach out to the real, deprived families. We are putting up free health check-up camps in such remote regions which are in dire need of good medical care. Based on the need of the population, we offer free healthcare services for diagnosing and treating people facing various health issues.

DATE DAY VILLAGE
4 May, 2016 Wednesday Duryai
11 May, 2016 Wednesday Raghunathpur
18 May, 2016 Wednesday Chidoli
25 May, 2016 Wednesday Hathipur Kheda
27 May, 2016 Friday Wave City Project Site

These diagnostic health camps are specifically aimed for the grassroots which constitute a huge chunk of the population largely based in villages lacking medical care. This time, we are organising health check-up camps in rural habitations of Duryai, Raghunathpur, Chidoli, Hathipur Kheda apart from the construction sites in urban settlements.

An Effort in Association

So far, many PCF health camps have been organised receiving cooperation from Dr. Ram Saran Garg Indo-German Hospital. Many cases have been treated successfully and have been further recommended for treatment based on the levels of severity. We reach out to the poor and the hapless to evaluate their health conditions as well as distribute free medicines. We extend free medical aid not just to the underprivileged ones, but also to those who are vulnerable.

By taking a more inclusive approach towards shared access of better healthcare, we aim to bridge the burgeoning gap between ‘healthcare facilities’ and ‘patients in need’. We understand that health is, and will always be the topmost priority for an individual as well as the state. After all, the hallmark of a healthy society has always been measured by how it cares for the disadvantaged.

Following the same, we are committed to bring a Wave of Change through our regular health check-up camps every month.
