health camp in ghaziabadGood health is one of the most vital components of a contented life. Not everyone amongst us is blessed with good health. Many people in our society, are suffering from one disease or the other, and most of them aren’t financially equipped to pay for medical expenses. Henceforth, there is a dire need for individuals and organizations to stand up for the cause and do their bit.

Leading the way is Ponty Chadha Foundation, the charitable CSR arm of Wave Group. It has taken on the responsibility to provide the best of medical attention to the most backward and under-privileged sections of the Indian society. PCF recently conducted a health camp at Dinanathpur Putthi in Ghaziabad for patients living in the area.

The mission of this health camp was catering to the medical needs of the underprivileged people in the village by helping them get the best of medical advice and proper medication for their diseases. The total population of this village is between 1000 to 2000, and the chief occupation of the people here is farming.

When the medical team of PCF visited the region, they found out that skin issues formed a bulk of the prevalent major health problems in Dinanathpur Putthi. Other problems brought to their attention were either gynecological, anaemic or eye-related. In all, nearly 50 diseases were reported, and a total of 149 minors, 49 adults, and 50 women were looked at.

On behalf of the Ponty Chadha Foundation, two doctors from Dr. Ram Saran Garg (Indo-German) Hospital visited the village and ensured that every attendee gets medical attention and treatment needed to fight their ailment. After their consultation, the two doctors also advised residents to maintain high standards of personal hygiene by washing hands and taking baths regularly, by wearing clean clothes, by using soap whenever necessary, and by keeping both public and private places clean.

PCF hopes that the people who attended the Dinanathpur Putthi camp didn’t just benefit from the diagnoses and remedies, but also realised the tremendous advantages of preventing illnesses through proper hygiene and way of life.
