Celebrating The Best Of 2015

Celebrating The Best Of 2015

IMG-20150806-WA0002The year of 2015 is about to end; giving way to a bright and shining New Year ahead. So, the Ponty Chadha Foundation (PCF) would like to look back at the passing year and recall all those memorable moments of our life over 12 months. The year was memorable for us because we took our corporate social responsibility to the next level and established our digital media presence across all relevant channels. Through these platforms, we were able to present our CSR initiatives to the world at large and create waves in the lives of many.

Rural Health Camps

Our rural health camps in collaboration with Dr. Ram Saran Garg Indo-German Hospital were one of our major social initiatives in 2015. We ventured into the adjoining areas of the capital and arranged free regular health-checkups for the underprivileged rural population. Our team of doctors and volunteers not just offered free diagnosis, but also distributed free-of-cost medicines to the patients as a part of the health scheme. In severe cases, doctors even referred the patients to hospitals for further treatment.

An extension to our healthcare interventions, we also conducted blood donation camps on a regular basis to provide relief to the needy.

Emergency Intervention in Crisis

We believe in working as a team to lend a helping hand for the people in crisis. Early this year, we provided healthy food financing for the earthquake victims of Nepal. We supported a non-governmental organization, Nayati Charitable Trust in conducting emergency relief operations. We reached out to the no-aid areas with medical supplies, food, essential clothing and shelter items.

Food Collection Drive

Our food drive against hunger kicked-off with a three-month long food collection drive in association with the Genesis Global School, Noida. Both the students and parents from the school participated enthusiastically in the drive and contributed to the food bank with a contribution of 1,000 kg of food grains including rice, pulses and oil. The donated collectibles were sent to our NGO partner, Great Care Home to feed the orphans.

Our tie-up with the India Food Banking Network (IFBN) is also helping us feed the needy. We have entered into a joint effort with IFBN to eradicate the global food crisis under UNICEF’s Zero Hunger Challenge. We act as intermediaries between the poor and the donors through an action-oriented plan.

IDPwD Awareness Campaign

We hold a responsibility not just towards the underprivileged, but also for the differently-abled. On the International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), we did an awareness campaign in the entire NCR region, whereby the students from our charitable school, Mata Bhagwanti Chadha Niketan (MBCN) pinned orange and blue ribbons to everyone they met as a mark of solidarity for the differently-abled.
